TRY OUTS
The Gundawgs program is well known throughout the triad. Tryouts are held for the following baseball teams. Each player is only required to attend one of the tryout dates for their age group. For baseball, please remember, the age your child will be on May 1st 2025 is the age they will need to try out for.

The Gundawgs field 1-2 teams per age group. We host tryouts in June/July of each year with a mid-year tryout around November to January. Once a player is chosen to be a member of a specific team, it is a one-year commitment beginning in August and concluding the following July. Tournaments are played in the fall, spring, and summer; winter training also takes place (with coaches’ discretion). Teams typically have two practices per week and play in an average of two tournaments per month (which may include travel).

Please bring all baseball equipment your chlid would normally bring to a game

Please plan to arrive at least 15-20 minutes early so your child has plenty of time to meet the coaches and get stretched out.

Try-Out Sessions typically last 1-1.5 hours. Depending on how many participants, they may run shorter or longer.

All players will get a chance to showcase their running speed, infield skills, outfield skills, and batting.

Players that pitch and/or catch will have the opportunity to showcase those skills as well.

ROSTER SELECTIONS
We anticipate roster selections to be completed by DATE TBD. Rosters will be posted on the Teams Page of our website. Players that are invited to our rosters will also receive a confirmation email to the address on file.
